Installing Modpacks (CurseForge)

How to install complex modpacks like RLCraft, Better MC, or All The Mods.

Option 1: 1-Click Installer (Recommended)

RYN Host offers a built-in modpack installer for many popular packs.

  1. Go to the "Modpacks" tab in your panel.
  2. Search for the pack you want (e.g., "RLCraft").
  3. Click "Install".
  4. Wait for the process to finish and start your server.

Option 2: Manual Installation

If the pack isn't in our auto-installer:

  1. Download the Server Pack files from the CurseForge website (usually labeled "Server Files").
  2. Extract the ZIP file on your computer.
  3. Delete any existing files on your server using SFTP.
  4. Upload the contents of the extracted folder to your server.
  5. Rename the main jar (e.g., `forge-1.12.2.jar`) to `server.jar` or update your Startup parameters to match the jar name.
  6. Start the server.
